This manual is designed to help parents and everyone in the school community improve the educational experience of children with Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD, Autism, Asperger Syndrome and PDD Not Otherwise Specified) who are enrolled in regular classrooms. Pervasive Developmental Disorders are complex and parents and educators need more than basic knowledge on child development to properly manage them. Le binôme SACCADE
The Binary System is an essential tool to categorize emotion-based interactions. This learning tool is based on the autistic reasoning process and teaches skills that lead autistic children toward genuine reciprocity.

The SACCADE Binary System teaches the internal tracking process of categorization of primary emotions and will help children with the concepts of ‘my feelings’, ‘another person’s feelings’ and ‘other people’s feelings’. The goal of the SACCADE Binary System is to render interactions observable. This interactive learning tool includes an intensity scale that helps autistic children recognize nuances in different situations.
